Hi! My name is Clare Green, I am 25 years old and live and work in Plymouth. I am running the Plymouth Half Marathon this year. I have completed the Cancer Research Race for Life the last 3 years and at the end of 2010 I challenged myself further by completing the Plymouth 10k which was also for Cancer Research. This has encouraged me to train and aim to complete the half marathon. It is something I have wanted to do for a couple of years, I have just never plucked up the courage to do it!
I decided to try to raise money for the ESSW as I have 2 Springers who live with my step dad; Zeb who is a staggering 17 years old (and still plodding on!) and Ben who is 13 years old. I practically grew up with Zeb and both dogs mean the world to me. They are such faithful companions and always manage to make me smile with their silly habits. I know how important it is to make sure every spaniel has a loving home and although this isn't always possible, I know the money raised will help all those dogs have a happy life until they do find homes.
A sponsorship form will be available here shortly - in the meantime send me your pledges at clareq28@hotmail.co.uk
