Max was rehomed last year. The following is a copy of a letter received from Max's owners following a recent holiday:
We are now back from Cornwall and had a fabulous week with the weather. Max was a star and villain in equal measure!
He attracted much interest in Falmouth for his stunning looks, so much so that one gentleman who had recently lost his springer through old age, has already been onto the website, registered his interest and is awaiting his home visit, that was the good part!
Now for the bad (well almost).....
On the Sunday we went to a local pet shop to get a fabric collar so that he could go into the sea with. Having left him in the car, the owner of the pet shop who was cleaning out cages at the time, said bring him in, well, she had left two Guinea pigs in a small cardboard box and as soon as Max saw one move, he had it! The upside is as soon as I said leave it, he did. Unfortunately it was a bit late for that particular guinea pig. Full of remorse I offered to pay for the now demised GP and I had no idea that they were as expensive at £20. plus the collar £6, I gave the owner £30 and clearly she was so traumatised by the whole affair because I didn’t get any change! (I must have been not to realise that until we had left but it would have been churlish to go back and ask for it)
After that his manners were impeccable all week. he still is a brilliant dog and we love him dearly!!!
